Coming Up For Air

Sorry for the abrupt silence, I had been putting it off the fact that I needed to build a body of work for our garden show at the end of this month. I was loping along on etsy when I realized I needed to put the brakes on and get busier. Thank you so much to those of you who collect and enjoy wearing my jewelry and also those of you who cheer me on, here and on Facebook, I really appreciate all of you. I have never found it easy to show my work as strange as that may sound, I only pretend to be confident, you people are the ones that always give me a soft landing and don't think for a second I'm not extremely grateful for that.

This is a portion garden just a few, fresh weeks ago but everything seems to have grown out of bounds and the whole thing though beautiful is also gargantuan, plants flopping over the paths, the trees hanging too low to be able to tread under them easily so I've been spending many and hour chopping and hauling, which I do enjoy but it's taking up much of my time.

I've been busy trying to think up new and exciting designs…. there are birds, there are always birds, because I love them. This is my very favorite bird Chester, my little shop mate. He visits several times a day and he always puts a smile on my face, I'm the crazy bird lady, talking to Chester like he understands :)

I keep the door open and the welcome mat out……..hello.

hello, come on in..

I've been hiking nearly every morning

The doe's are preggers right now, at least this one is and she had a teen or a tween in tow which ran ahead and into the bushes.

I was working on some owl pieces and I went out in search of owl feathers, thinking naturally I'll never find one. I was walking along transfixed on a pile of bear splat thinking geesh, I hope I don't run into that bear with the gut problem when Banjo stopped and stuck her nose right on this feather! Remarkable!

Then I found another and another, when do you ever find just what you're looking for? NEVER,
once :) it was my lucky morning!

I hope you had a nice Mother's Day…. here I brought the yucca to you, belated but beautiful.

I had a lovely Mother's Day morning including a very close encounter with a Western Tanager that hopped around from branch to branch in the understory of a sycamore just an arms length away and  just what I always wanted.

I hope all is well with you, I thought I'd take a moment to check in, just so you know I didn't fall of the planet, I'm just busy is all!

Wishing you many blessings, a Tanager perhaps! xoox Ro
