I worked over the weekend on these little snippets, I actually started some complicated rings and things then shooed them to the side because I had a yearning to set these beautiful round stones. I always work with my hands in more than one pot, my crafters ADHD, my bench is always a mess with small cut outs too many stones, things half done but in the end it serves me well when I fit it all together like a puzzle, I may be a silversmith but I always feel like I'm doing collage work.
I had a very hard time representing these ladies in photos, so I'm trying different light opportunities.
The fine chains are 18 inches, with handmade hook clasps that can be hidden in the back or showing in the front.
Did I mention they are tiny?
I'm doing a bit of nesting just like the birds, as spring has arrived here. I'm gathering this and that, filling my pockets with not only memories but dry weeds, sticks, and rotted pods, good junk to use in my work.
k.i.s.s. keep it simple stupid because simplicity is also beautiful!
Onto nest news, some of you who have followed my blog for a while (thank you) know that I follow the same nest each spring. It sits high up in a eucalyptus tree, some years it is claimed by the great horned owls and some years the red tailed hawks. I think it will be the hawks this year as each time I hike up to take a look, as I did this morning a hawk is present or like today it flew off. I had so much fun last spring in the mornings watching those hungover hawks trying to keep their eyes open while they raised their clutch.
As I put my camera on for a hike this am I was rather astounded at the size my hair had grown while I slept, I changed my name to
Ronnie just for today, been singing... be my be my baby nowwww wa wo woah woah woah!!
If you have any questions regarding the pendants, shoot me a note. I will officially add these to etsy probably mid week when I can get some model shots.
I promised myself I wouldn't gripe about the time change.....notice I didn't but I didn't make any promises for you :)

ReplyDeleteWell El Poopo! So bummed I missed these lovely round pendants! I follow your blog quite closely, but was recently felled by a nasty cold/sore throat. By the time I recovered and checked in, these were long gone. Likely they were within my budget too - ah well, let me reserve one now for any future ones, lol. I just love your work, keep it up - and really this more petite work is obviously a hit too! ;)
