Bench View

I've been busy all week fabricating tiny silver do dads to make  a few trophy pieces, I thought you might like a sneak peek. I'm going to turn these little paintings into jewelry over the weekend, finish them up and set the stones.

I also want to roast, cook, make a pot of soup, clean the house, work in the garden, visit with some friends and finish the book I started. I want to hike, take some pictures, go to the Abby and see a movie or maybe eat Mexican and listen to the trio. Finally the weather is cool and turning on the oven is exciting. I'm sure I won't be able to achieve all these great expectations but I feel energized.

I'm wishing you all a super cool weekend to do whatever it is you're longing to do.

*revision, If you'd like to share, just what is it you're looking forward to?

With love, Ro

  1. That's it exactly, Ro..."trophy pieces." Beauteous frames awaiting their gorgeous stones. Can't wait. And I hope you achieve most of what's on your list this weekend. Sounds full and fulfilling in the best possible ways! (I can tell the rain has rejuvenated your spirit. You should move north: summer lasts about 2-3 months here, not eight!)

What am I longing to do...? I just want to finish this story...which I've been 'finishing' for weeks. It's hard being in that place, isn't it...when you need to finish one thing but are already looking to the next, feeling tired with the first, but already feeling the freshness and excitement of the next thing. I've never been patient so, of course, my 'lesson' in patients is coming at me in spades!

Hope your weekend is glorious and with plenty of rain clouds! =)

    2. Oh boy Ash I finished them, yay, I really did achieve alot, the best part was on Friday, I had a regular procession of visitors all the way til dark. Everyone was so excited about the rain and the weekend they were getting a jump on things and it was fun to sit with friends.

Yes I should move this weather can really be a kill joy.

I know what you mean about completing, I'm often off to the next thing in my head too. I write my ideas down or sometimes I stop and start something else my, adhd. It's like a new romance :)

      Beautiful, it was!

  3. Oh, those BIRDS!!!! Look at them in your gardens!!!!!!!!!!! Such goodness!!! Of course you're working with love....

What I would LIKE to do and what I will ACTUALLY do never seem to match up during my weekends, but looking forward to some time at home to clean up after one hunting guest and tackle some more clutter--would also like to bake a new pumpkin cookie recipe, although no chocolate is involved...might have to improvise....

Hope you have fun, gardening with your silver!!!!

    1. You bet cha, I should show Jen's work so you can see how I got propelled.

Oh yes I know, I set lofty goals too and hope for 50% , you have to figure in spontaneity. Well the studio and garden are clean but the house could use some work, you know how that is, cleaning in circles and circles, dizzying.

  4. Oh wowwww! Ro, you're killin' me with those BIRDS! Awwwwww......... ♥

Is it wrong that I love and want each one? lol

Yes, Caroline..how true! It is hard to get "stuff" to match up, isn't it? I would love to knit, go to something new called "Not Your Grandma's Craft Fair," bake a birthday cake, exercise, cut Sully (Bichon's) little white dreads, rake leaves, make dinner for 7 tomorrow p.m., read "The Life of Pi," and knit. Oh, and did I say knit?

    :D
Have a great weekend. Have fun spreadin' joy, Ro!

    1. I've been sawing ever so tiny birds, my garden, the real one is FULL, perching room only, we must have 30 hummingbirds chasing each other around along with phoebes, warblers, finches, all colors, jays, mockers, bluebirds and everybody else, this joint is jumpin'

We all have that rolling list don't we, the needs and the want to do's, I DO hope you got some knitting in.....I didn't know so many grandmas were involved in craft fairs in the fist place.... celebrating a birthday fun, except the dishes, grooming Sully only fun when it's over. I think I read 10 more pages before my head hit the pillow all three nights.

I did have a great one, I hope you can say the same! xoxo
