Filling Up

We took a trip to the Eastern Sierra, one of the most beautiful and interesting places to visit in California. Formed mostly through volcanic action, the geology and landscapes are diverse to say the least. Mono lake briny like the great Salt Lake resides on the desert floor as the peaks of Yosemite vault in the near distance, spectacular especially with everything dressed in fall color, here the aspen coins.

texture, color, collections in the water

Such incredible beauty, golden robed aspens marching down the slopes,

 roses

 evening sky

 lichen, camo colors

 ponderosa

fawn and doe blending in the sage, note the same colors as the lichen

 osprey

 art, nature

 The beauty of the trees

skittish brown trout

*The Ponderosa pendant is sold

New work is taking shape, I will be bolstering my shop within the next few days with some things I found along the trail.

Have a splendid day all, xo Ro

  3. All that gold...

    And, ahh, all that silver...

    Luscious. All of it.

(And Eric almost camouflaged--apparently I can't spell this word without looking it up!--behind the branches. I didn't see him, at first.) =)

    2. Haha. Fiery reds and oranges, of course. Although if I were a bloke, I wouldn't mind being an autumn purple ash!

(In my nonfiction life? Black tees and jeans. I'm like Michael Kors, but with way more hair!)

*He is! (And I know. What's with the 'u' in camoflaaagge? You guys normally drop all the u's!)

I'm trying to figure out the elongated leaf hearts, what tree is that? The bark looks like a Walnut, so pretty.
