Showscapes

Our show went very well and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came by to shop, chat, laugh, enjoy a little snack, savor the garden sights and scents, peek at our current work. We finally got everything displayed Friday evening and I took a few shots before dinner.

* Thank you M&K for the life saving tamales :) :)

I observed a giant orb weaver just getting started as we were winding down.

Eric in the pottery barn.

Full moon light fixture in the kitchen, batik tatting, spider envy.

Weeds in an opalized whisky bottle I found in the desert added just the right touch for my jewelry display.

Earrings..

One of my favorites...

I should have grabbed that little zen tea cup but I was too late, gosh it's beautiful, congratulations to the recipient!

I snapped a few shots Saturday morning before the crowd descended.

Batik sock tart :)

Love

I never did get pictures of the shoppers, the show seems to start earlier each year and we all seem to get swept away in the tide.

Thank you blog readers for cheering us on, to the show stoppers that brought us treats from your gardens, kitchens, some even sent in the mail! Thank you Deb for helping me on Saturday, wow, what a godsend you are! Thank you also to the bead and rock collectors that share my joy and for your donated collections, I promise to put them to good use.

I have reduced the prices on several etsy pieces and plan to spend some of this week taking photos and adding new work to my etsy shoppe, naturally it will be previewed here first.

I hope you had a good weekend too and wishing you all a good week ahead.

  5. So, so glad you had a great show, Ro. Loved all the little peaks at your glittering and glowing creations. Oh, those colors! (I've never seen a sock tart. How sumptuous! And that Zen tea cup...me too!)

Am about to go into summer hibernation mode (am determined to get some stories finished by the fall) so won't be 'around' much...but will continue to send cool breezes your way, when I can! =)

    Have a great--coolish--summer!

I have a feeling that the pics don't do the various art work justice....I'm imagining it all looking even more spectacular on person. WOW!

Did you treat yourself to anything Ro ( from Kathryn? )

Have fun resting up and re-living all of your fun memories!

    1. Oh yes, I bought a batik table runner, her work is beautiful! I couldn't face the socks this time, it's flip flop weather.

I took my honey out to lunch today after errands then took myself to the butterfly house at our local native garden, it was a relaxing day for a change of pace. :)

Don't you just love the CoLOr WOW weeee. She has a stove in her studio with big caldrons of fabric boiling away and a huge stretcher for painting wax. It's something to see alright.

Taking it slower, smelling the roses.....

    1. Maybe we should shop and swap, say every six months?? :-)

I can just picture our GalleryDarrow earring collections crossing the country in a mail truck. I wonder if we could convince Churro to offer delivery service...?
