Rings Mid Week

Here's to small things, gorgeous little stones simply set to wear every day, the days when you might not be attending a cocktail party perhaps.....

"Moss" ring size 7

I really like square and rectangle stones, I always have, I think it's because they resemble small paintings. This moss agate is a stunner from every angle it contains an inner glow.

I met a small neighbor girl the other day who was thoroughly infatuated with my garden, she looked in my pond and exclaimed "look at the BEAUTIFUL moss"..........soulmates I thought ;)

*sold "Gauguin" size 7.75

I've never seen an ocean jasper in these colors, the stone instantly reminded me of a lush jungle maybe somewhere in Tahiti. I read a blog yesterday that had a Gauguin painting featured and thought yes those are the colors.

*sold "Sage" size 8

I've had this stone for quite some time and I can't remember just how I acquired it or what the material is other than a plume agate. It looks like dried flowers kept as a memento from some important event, pressed in a book, the pages now yellowing.

I've been putting in the hours and having a good time out in my studio as of late, I decided to make an old school band for Sage to copy a ring I wear often, a ring I made a long time ago...my Wonder Woman ring......

The bands are pretty, every bit counts.....

I always like the little details, one of my customers told me she liked my jewelry because she felt like she got "more" awwww

I went up to the hills this early morning and watched the deer make their way though the tall and browning grass.

They look at me the same way I look at them and I was thinking about how much their silhouettes reminded me of winged insects with velvety antennae.

I did a bit of shopping while I was out, I did not see the owls but I had some clues that they were still around ;)

Have a beautiful day, xo Ro

Lovely rings, all the way around, complete in themselves.

That trio of small bucks cracks me UP. They're like freshmen boys in high school--transparent and lovable....

  3. Hullo Ro... I must seem like a ghost appearing out of nowhere, but I assure that despite my unforgivable silence, I have been quietly following along with all your adventures, as time permits. My life now is a shocking contrast to my "hermit-like" existence in the hills, but despite its hectic go-go-go business, there are some truly wonderful new experiences and people.

Have been wanting to drop you a note for awhile now and return once again to being part of the great group that gathers here. I'd be lying if I didn't say that some days your blog -- with all those amazing photos & stories of critters and places I love -- makes me more than a little homesick. But, it is always a pleasure to read your words, see your amazing jewelry creations, and get a sweet and perfect glimpse of everything I love about the hillsides.

XOXOXO (plus a few extra X's and O's for all that I've missed!),

    2. HI HARSI!

I ran into your folks a little while back and gave them the garden tour. They told me about your adventures, I'm so happy for you!!! A little bird told me you celebrated your first birthday on the island. I hope it was grand.

The deer are waving back at you, (imagine antlers bobbing) :)

  10. Ooh, I bet your young neighboring friend would love 'The Secret Garden.'

Oh, wow. That moss agate...the band for your sage ring...those deer (hilarious!)...those feathers. On bumpy days when nothings seems to go right and a sleepless night looms large, peeking into your lush world is a soothing balm.

    Kisses.

  11. My neighbor girls mom asked "how do you grow things" wow, I suggested they start with sunflower seeds :)

We all have those days Ash sorry about that, a walk always seems to help, a nice distraction, I like the way it puts me in the present, irons thing out.

here's to better days ahead, xoxo
