My Story

You knew I had to do it, honor those owls the best way I know how, so I made a couple of rings with them perched in my minds eye.

size 8 *sold

I made a most excellent owl feather ring using a gorgeous and glowing Montana agate.

I added stars north and south for the night hunters......

and perched it all on a pretty band.

size 7 1/2

Mother Nature is cameo'd in this wonderful moss agate. See her, she's a tree with her chin up?

I cut out the back so you could see just how she grows......

and added a few limbs for perhaps a bird or two..

This is my story for the week and I'm sticking to it.

These will be added to etsy after I meet with the ever so lovely Laura (my model)

    1. You would have loved it.

Just received an email from my younger brother. He's going to be traveling around Central America, then heading up north to California, once he finishes his MBA, and wants to know if we can meet him in San Francisco or LA...in the middle of July (!!!). I just want to pat his head.

    2. That's exciting Ash, the middle of July, I would suggest San Fran with a nice dose of fog.
      Awww, noogies for brothers :)

    3. Does a snowstorm come with that fog???

Yeah, except I'm the shorty in the family...so he'd just put his hand on my head and keep sme at arm's length, laughing. It's rather annoying.

I did throw a giant slug at him once, when we were kids, and it landed in his ear. He's never forgiven me.

Those rings are stupendous! Hall-of-Famers! I love them both....you did an amazing job!!! As everyone else has said (and I'll echo), they are a wonderful tribute to those special not-so-little-anymore owlets!! (You are so talented in so many ways ♥.)

xxxooo to my fellow bird-crazy friend :o)

    2. Ha! =) Being a cool-weather chickie amongst a family of sun bunnies is a total drag. Here they are, wanting to 'vacation' during the summer months and everything. What ARE they thinking???

      Call me when it's snowing!
